Pfirst Steps Academy
Pflugerville ISD's Pfirst Steps Academy provides high-quality early childhood education and care exclusively for eligible full-time Pflugerville ISD employees. As part of the Pflugerville ISD Childcare Department, our academy is committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment where children are encouraged to explore, grow, and develop a lifelong love of learning.

Enrollment is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Program Details
Age Range
Pfirst Steps Academy serves children 6 weeks through 4 years of age.
To ensure developmentally appropriate classroom placement, children who turn 4 years old on or before the first day of the school year are not eligible for enrollment.
Curriculum
Pfirst Steps Academy utilizes the Circle K Curriculum through CLI Engage, a comprehensive early childhood education platform developed by the Children's Learning Institute at UTHealth Houston.
The Circle K Curriculum provides research-based, developmentally appropriate learning experiences that foster growth in language and literacy, early mathematics, science, social-emotional development, physical development, creative expression, and school readiness. Through purposeful play, exploration, and hands-on activities, children develop the skills, confidence, and curiosity needed for future success.
Teachers use ongoing observations and assessment tools within CLI Engage to individualize instruction, monitor developmental progress, and create engaging learning experiences that meet the unique needs of every child.

Hours of Operation
Monday through Friday
7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
The academy follows the Pflugerville ISD teacher work calendar, with the first day of care beginning on August 3.
Meals
Children receive a nutritious breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack each day.
Tuition
Monthly tuition rates are based on the age of the child.
6 weeks – 18 months: $790 per month
18 months – 3 years: $715 per month
3 years – 4 years: $690 per month
Tuition is prorated based on each child's start date.
Enrollment
Enrollment for Pfirst Steps Academy is completed through Eleyo, Pflugerville ISD's online registration system.
Families can visit our registration portal to learn more about the academy, create their family account, view program information, and submit an enrollment application.
To enroll:
- Create an Eleyo account (or sign in if you already have one).
- Complete the online enrollment application.
- Upload all required enrollment documents.
- Submit your child's current immunization records prior to the first day of attendance.
- Enrollment is confirmed once all required documentation has been received, reviewed, and approved.
Enrollment is based on classroom availability and state-required licensing ratios.
