Science Fair
Science Fair
The elementary science fair concept has been established to strengthen student motivation, understanding, and interest in science and the world in which they live. Through this experience, students apply learned skills in real world science situations to increase their understanding of a systematic approach to problem solving while presenting, communicating, defending, and validating their own scientific knowledge. Information about Science Fair at Northwest will come home from your child's teacher. Projects depending on the grade may be whole class, team and/or individually created. Resources for Science Fair.
Science fair is in January but participating students need to let their teachers know their intention to participate by late October, so that science boards can be ordered for those wishing to be judged.
